General Information:

GENERAL INFORMATION: Positions Available in Gloucester, Warsaw, and Saluda, VA

Under general supervision, employee is responsible for providing, direct outpatient therapeutic services, to those children, adolescents, adults and their families who may be at risk to themselves or others, or who may be at risk of hospitalization or other restrictive placement due to mental illness and/or severe behavioral problems. Provide direct therapeutic support services including treatment planning, implementing and monitoring service plans, therapeutic interventions and supporting a collaborative system of intervention. Employee provides outpatient individual and family therapy services on a schedule determined by the client need. Employee must exercise considerable initiative and judgment in the effective and efficient administration of departmental programs. Employee must also exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, clients, families, public, and service providers.

Minimum Training and Experience:

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field, and 1 year experience in emergency/crisis services, family counseling, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Must be licensed or license eligible.






Special Requirements:
Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results by the first day of employment and annually after that as required by licensing authority.
