Under limited direction, performs supervisory and administrative work overseeing all mental health outpatient operations of the Gloucester Counseling Center. Work involves providing direct clinical services to individuals with Mental Health and Substance Use problems; supervising assigned therapists, interns and administrative assistants and monitoring and recommending staffing needs. Employee is responsible for providing direct services using various techniques such as: individual, group, marital, and family therapy; comprehensive intake evaluations; care coordination and consultation. Employee provides intensive training for clinical staff, and assists in the development of clinical programs and the budget. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in contact with CSB and State officials, individuals served in the programs and the general public. Coordinates closely with supervisors and managers of other CSB programs and services. Reports to the Director of Clinical Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Required Education and/or Experience:
Master's Degree in social work, counseling, sociology, psychology, or a related field and licensure as a mental health professional in the Commonwealth of Virginia (LCP, LCSW or LPC); 3 to 5 years of professional clinical/therapy training and experience, considerable experience in a clinical supervisory and administrative capacity.
