JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, incumbent is responsible for providing support to the Psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners providing services in the Essex and/or Gloucester Counseling Centers. Employee serves as a resource to other clinical staff regarding medication issues. Work involves maintaining and administering medications, providing appropriate answers to medical questions or requests from individuals, their families and staff in a timely manner, obtaining and recording biometric data and individual’s histories and case management services. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, individuals served, families, professionals, and the general public. Employee reports to the Medical Director as medical advisor, as well as directly to the Medical Operations Coordinator as administrative supervisor.
Requires managing a number of competing work priorities in a time-restricted environment. Works with a challenging population, often from diverse backgrounds with a variety of concomitant issues. Supports the implementation and maintenance of electronic health records (EHR) and data collection. This position works closely with other staff at MPNN CSB using a team approach.
