General Information:
Under general supervision, provides clerical, secretarial, and data entry support for the Counseling Center.  Work involves receiving and entering client intake information, and scheduling appointments with appropriate staff.  Employee is responsible for answering the telephone and directing calls and clients to appropriate staff.  Employee is also responsible for maintaining accurate medical and financial records on clients, assisting with client billing inquires and requests, as well as processing, receiving, and distributing client prescriptions.  Employee must exercise independent judgment, confidentiality, and initiative in completing assignments.  Employee must also exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the general public. 

Minimum Training and Experience:

High School Diploma supplemented with courses in secretarial sciences and clerical skills, and 1 to 2 years experience in clerical, or secretarial related work preferably in a clinical setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
