General Information:


Under general supervision, employee is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of consumers and staff. Employee will identify behaviors, situations, or physical plant conditions that obstruct safety and security. Employee will plan, implement, and monitor both immediate and long range recommendations that create an environment of safety and security. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, consumers, families, and service providers.



Minimum Training and Experience:
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent, and 1 to 2 years related experience in a medical or psychological field, involving work with the mentally ill, disabled, or dually diagnosed, preferably with an emphasis on the safety and security of consumers, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Must be available to work nights and weekends.

Special Requirements:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Must possess valid Virginia Driver's License & CPR/First Aid Certifications. Must be certified tuberculosis free annually. Must be or become Medication Management Certified.
