General Information:
Under general supervision, employee is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services, case management services, and crisis intervention to mental health, substance abuse, and intellectual disabilities. Therapeutic services involve conducting individual, marital, group, and family therapy sessions, crisis interventions, pre admission screening evaluations, consultative services regarding community resources. Therapist will collaborate with staff of local hospital emergency rooms, jails, probation and parole, schools, and social service agencies. Employee consults regularly with other staff members; participates in scheduled meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions. Employee must also exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, clients, families, public, and service providers.

Minimum Training and Experience:
Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; licensed to provide services within the Commonwealth of Virginia highly preferred.

Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results by first day of employment, and yearly thereafter as required by licensing authority. Must possess and maintain a current LCSW, LPC, or LCP.
