General Information:
Employee is responsible for providing crisis stabilization to mental health clients. Crisis stabilization services include assessment, coordinating, and implementing services. Employee provides crisis stabilization/intervention services as indicated by need in population served. Services are designed to reduce a child’s risk of an out of home placement due to acute psychiatric crisis and to assist children in transitioning from inpatient psychiatric hospitals or residential facilities back into the community.

Minimum Training and Experience:

REQUIRED:  Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; QMHP-C, QMHP-E with at least one year experience in human service or related field,  and  has the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in the current DMAS guidelines for providers of Crisis Stabilization services.

Special Requirements:

Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License. Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results by orientation and annually thereafter as required by licensing authority. Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certifications.

Must complete current Agency behavior management training (MANDT, TOVA, or NVCI) within first year of employment. Must maintain all additional trainings and credentials as required by regulatory, licensing, and payer entities.
