Positions available in Tappahannock,Virginia.Employee is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services, case management services, and crisis intervention to mental health, substance abuse, and intellectually disabled clients. Therapeutic services involve conducting individual, marital, group, and family therapy sessions. Case management services include client identification, assessments, and pre-screenings, consultative services regarding community resources, crisis intervention, as well as liaison activities with staff of local hospital emergency rooms, jails, schools, and social service agencies. Employee consults regularly with other staff members; participates in scheduled meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions. Employee must also exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, clients, families, public, and service providers.
Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field, and a minimum of 2 years experience in counseling, clinical assessment, and case management; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Required at minimum LMHP-E.
