General Information:

This employee carries out rehabilitation and support functions and assists in treatment of PACT clients. Provides direct services, education, support, and consultation to consumers and their families. Works with a challenging population of patients, often from diverse backgrounds, with varying degrees of life stress and comorbid medical conditions. Includes providing care to clients with co-occurring substance use disorders. Will be required to participate in the on-call provision of services. Provides services in the community as well as in consumer homes. Will be required to transport persons served in an MPNN CSB vehicle. This position works closely with other staff using a team approach. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, clients, families, public, and service providers.

Minimum Training and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is preferred and at least one year experience working with adults with severe mental illness. Must have been the recipient of mental health services in order to relate to consumers as a peer in recovery.

Special Requirements:

Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License with acceptable DMV to drive agency vehicles. Acceptable record is Point 0 and above. Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results by first day of employment and annually thereafter as required by licensing authority.
