Youth and Family Outpatient Therapist II

General Information:

Seeking licensed or licensed eligible therapist to provide services to children, adolescents, and their families, who may be at risk to themselves or others, or who may be at risk of hospitalization or other restrictive placement due to mental illness and/or severe behavioral problems. Therapist will be available to provide Independent Clinical Evaluations as needed. Therapist will carry a small caseload of clients to provide intensive outpatient family therapy services on schedule determined by the client need, including client identification, assessment, planning, implementing and monitoring service plans, and advocacy and resource development. Will work within the Youth and Family Services Division under the supervision of the Outpatient Coordinator. Will work in close collaboration with Case Managers, Intensive Care Coordinators, crisis stabilization counselors, intensive in-home counselors and all involved professionals.


Minimum Training and Experience:

Masters degree and licensed eligible. Desired: Experience working with at-risk youth and their families. Experience providing crisis intervention or emergency services to at risk youth.


Special Requirements:

Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results by first day of employment and annually as required by licensing authority.
