Crisis Stabilization Case Manager

General Information:
Under general supervision, employee is responsible for providing case management services and crisis stabilization to mental health and substance abuse clients. Case management services include planning for transitions between services; assisting persons served in identifying vocational prospects, and living, educational, and entitlement opportunities. Crisis stabilization services include assessment, coordinating and implementing services. Employee provides crisis stabilization/ intervention services as indicated by need in population served. Employee acts as a liaison between the Counseling Center and Community entities (court/probation, DSS, providers, others), relaying appropriate clinical information. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in all contacts.

Minimum Training and Experience:
REQUIRED:  Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; is LMHP, LMHP-supervisee, LMHP-resident, LMHP-RP and has 1-2 years experience in emergency services / crisis stabilization and  has the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in the current DMAS guidelines for providers of Case Management services.

Special Requirements:

Must possess a valid VirginiaDriver's License. Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results by first day of employment and annually thereafter as required by licensing authority.Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certifications.

Must complete current Agencybehavior management training (MANDT, TOVA, or NVCI) within first year of employment.Must maintain all additional trainings and credentials as required byregulatory, licensing, and payer entities.
