General Information:
Seeking employee to be responsible for providing counseling/crisis intervention/case management services, as part of a system of family preservation and support services, to those children, adolescents, and adults who may be at risk to themselves or others, or who may be at risk of hospitalization or other restrictive placement due to mental illness and/or severe behavioral problems. Counseling/crisis intervention/case management services include client identification, assessment and diagnosis, planning, implementing and monitoring service plans for the purpose of facilitating lasting improvements in mental, emotional, and behavioral functioning, and advocacy and resource development. Employee provides crisis intervention and family preservation services on an intensive schedule determined by client need. Must be willing and able to work a schedule that may be prolonged, fragmented, or otherwise unlike a typical Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00, work week. Responsible for Providing after-hours, holiday, and weekend coverage as part of the system of family preservation and family support services.

Minimum Training and Experience:
Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field which prepares candidate for license eligibility, and 1 year experience in emergency/crisis services, family, individual or group counseling, family preservation, with children and adolescents which qualifies candidate for QMHP-C. LMHP-e Preferred.

Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results by first day of employment and annually as required by licensing authority. Position open until filled.
